Session

DATE TIME SPEAKER
Wednesday, January 28, 2009 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM Warren MacKenzie, President, Second opinion Investor Services Inc

DESCRIPTION:

As your employees prepare to retire, their future happiness and security depend in large part on their financial literacy—how well they are prepared to manage their retirement investments. Where can they turn for help? Unfortunately, the financial services industry focuses almost entirely on selling investment products, creating an unavoidable conflict of interest.  Learn more about financial planning and gain the insight to become your employees’ source for trusted retirement advice.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Master the five core competencies that are required for employees to take responsibility for their retirement planning
  • Examine the five key elements of a financial plan and why having a plan is so important
  • Explore the difference between chasing financial products and following a simple investing process
