ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dave Peters is a passionate communicator and student of the human condition. He has a commanding teaching and speaking presence and the solid personal grounding to deal positively with conflict. He has a unique ability to draw out the talents and strengths of the people he is instructing or facilitating. Peters has extensive experience at an international level as a technical consultant, trainer and facilitator, specializing in changing how people work. He focuses specifically on productivity improvements and helping companies continually improve. Peters’ work centres on positive interpersonal communication techniques, technical problem analysis, decision-making, implementation of solutions, standardized work and the process of continuous improvement within a lean manufacturing environment. As an effective communicator, he is able to relate many topics that are difficult for people to understand.
Ahmed Khalil Ebrahim holds an MSc in risk management and safety technology from Aston University in the U.K. He also holds a diploma in fire safety engineering from the University of Central Lancashire, a certificate in foam systems engineering from Chubb National Foam Training School, a fire prevention certificate from the Fire Service College, a fire commanders certificate from the Fire Service College and a diploma in health and safety from Bondrul Training Institute.
In his 25 years of health and safety work at Bapco he has held various positions, from officer level to section head to his current role. He has also worked at refineries in the U.S., Australia and Singapore. He is a board member with the Bahrain Supreme Health & Safety Committee, a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) in the U.K., a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) in the U.S., a member of the Institute of Fire Engineering (IFE) in the U.K. and a board member with the Bahrain Health and Safety Society.
